Preparing your home for Christmas
With Christmas just a few weeks away, its time to start preparing your home! This will be a plan that you can use at any time of the year when you plan to host guests.
If your home is currently messy, you may feel like you will never get it clean in time, but that is simply not true! The Just Blue team are here to help you come up with a simple and easy plan of attack to get your house presentable to truly be the hostess with the mostest!
Coming up with a plan of attack isn’t difficult, all you need to do is be reasonable, I emphasize reasonable because there are always huge jobs that need to be done but re painting the wall 1 hour before your guests arrive isn’t the right time!
Things to consider when working out your cleaning plan;
- When do your guests arrive?
- How much time do you have to devote to cleaning?
- How messy is your house right now?
- Who is coming? Good friends wont mind a bit of dust, but maybe your mother in law carry’s a white dust glove in her handbag!
- How long are they staying?
- While your guests are here what rooms will they be in?
If you really consider these, it will become easier to plan what rooms are the most important to clean. Once you have worked out what rooms need to be cleaned and how deeply you can clean them based on the amount of time you have, it’s time to start cleaning! Seems simple enough but when your house is already a bit messy it is easy to get distracted!
Kitchen Cleaning Tasks
- Clean up dishes, pots and pans (make sure sink empty)
