Organising your fridge

We have spoken about how to clean our fridges, but now its time for the fun stuff! Organising! I don’t know about you but organising makes me as happy as a kid in a candy store! When I saw this fridge, I thought we definitely have to talk fridges this week!!

Am I right!! That fridge is pretty incredible, and being the time for spring cleaning why not give it ago now. Here are some tips to help get your fridge in order.

1 – Line your fridge shelves, this will help with sticky spills and smears.

2- keep things in plastic containers so that all your like items are stored with each other. Instead of having things floating around your shelves they will all be stored neatly and this will help you find things easily. There is nothing worse when you are cooking dinner and you could have sworn you had garlic but just cant find it.

3 – Labelling – now some people might think your crazy but that’s OK because everything will be where it belongs! Otherwise you will be the only person putting things back where they belong.

4- Another great tip for keeping your fridge organised is to keep all your sauces on a lazy Susan, so instead of knocking things over to get the sauce at the back, all you have to do is spin the lazy Susan keeping everything in place.

5 – Create a “snack zone”, now this applies to your pantry as well. have a draw or shelf or basket dedicated to snacks for the kids so they can go straight to that one spot to find things they can eat instead of rifling through your perfectly organised fridge.

6 – keep the “snack zone” or kids foods on a lower shelf so they are easy to access for the kids.

7 – I also love keeping cans of drink in a specific rack. This will keep them neat and prevent them getting knocked over.

Kmart, Big W and Howards storage world all sell alot of great products to keep you organised, so head over to the shops to pick up a few new goodies and happy organising!
